Very often the decision to wash the boat is made spontaneously or impulsively e.g. because of nice weather or a moment of free time. This is a mistake! Unscheduled activities are usually carried out without much preparation and without buying the right equipment and resources. In return, we use what we have at hand from the kitchen, bathroom or garage. Unfortunately, such actions can only damage your boat. What else should be avoided?
Do not use household cleaning products to clean your boat. They are often cheaper and less effective than the special means to do so. In addition, they can damage the structure and colour of the paint, varnish or wood.
Be careful not to use very strong agents. The consequence of too strong a composition may even be matting of the surface of the boat or acceleration on the corrosion process of its metal parts.
Do not forcefully scrape dust and dirt from the boat.

However, there are ways to enjoy a perfectly clean boat, motorboat or yacht without compromising the structure, colour and material of which they are made.

• Invest in special agents. You will find ready-to-use cleaning products for boats in nautical shops or on the internet. They will help to effectively remove mineral discolouration, dirt that appears during the operation of the boat and even volatile rust.
• Scrupulously look at the available cleaning products. Not all of them will be suitable for some dirt. For example, before the start of the season i.e. after winter ‘dormancy’, you will need stronger products.
• Soda blasting - this method will allow you to clean the boat without scraping the surface and, at the same time, without exposing it to damage. This method is safe for boats and yachts and allows the removal of bubbles, growths or rust.
